The Perfect Day. Does it actually exist? Is it possible that there is a day without crinkles in it? Is this simply an idea that has been feed to us since we were children to make us more cynical than we would be normally as human beings? Think about it.
One thing that I love about Edinburgh is that I can walk out my door, down the street, and without meaning to find something extraordinary. For example, I was walking home from Underbelly when I looked up at the top floor of a building where light was emitting. I have walked by this building at least a million times and never notice until then that the top floor had stained glass windows of different icons. I had to stop and study them just for a moment. Another example, on my break I decided to walk around and headed toward Grassmarket when I taken back by the sight of the castle at night. I have been here a month and the view still makes me take a step back.
In America, we have historical cites like Boston, Philadelphia, and New York to name a few and they have rich history but they don’t come anywhere near the cities of Europe and the UK. Here in the UK, history is everywhere you just need to look.
Does a perfect day exist? I think that it is does. I think one came across my path this week.
